About Our Church Who We Are
DuPont Community Presbyterian Church seeks to serve all who live in the greater DuPont area including the Village and Northwest Landing; Lacey, Steilacoom, Lakewood or Olympia. We also have a long history of serving military families and welcome all who are stationed at Fort Lewis/McCord, no matter how brief your stay in the area.
To learn more about our church, read about Our Staff, Our Pastor, Our History, Our Missions. About the Presbyterian Church God comes to us in free and undeserved favor in the person of Jesus Christ who lived, died, and rose again that we might belong to God and serve Christ in the world. Following Jesus, Presbyterians are engaged in the world and in seeking thoughtful solutions to the challenges of our time.
As Presbyterians we are all connected by a long heritage of what is known as "Reformed Theology" that orginated during the Reformation of the 1500's in Scotland, with a strong belief that we are saved by faith alone in Christ's finished work on the cross (rather than earning our own way to God) and by grace alone (God's undeserved favor). We are secure in God's sovereignty (His ultimate rule) and view the Bible as our foundation for teaching, doctrine and practice. Presbyterians are also known as a "creedal" church in that we affirm the early creeds as valuable tools to summarize our core beliefs as taught in scripture. Although the church has birthed several different denominations from its Reformed roots, the largest by far is the PCUSA.
Our church in DuPont continues to affirm the reliability and authority of scripture in ways that have guided Reformed-minded churches for centuries. We also embrace what are known as the "orthodox" teachings of the Bible regarding the main tenants of Christianity, including the triune nature of God [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] and the essential work of Christ's atonement for our salvation.
We welcome anyone who wishes to enjoy our fellowship, no matter their background, race, or beliefs. We are a warm church who seeks to demonstrate the love, acceptance, and forgiveness of Christ.

We seek to be a loving community who welcomes everyone who comes through our doors in search of spiritual, physical, and emotional encouragement. Our focus is Christ-centered, our beliefs are grounded in the Bible, and our mission is to share the truth of Jesus and His saving work on the cross with others.
